As we did last year, we will be holding open panel discussions at our booth for all 3 days at the “11th Japan Drone 2026 / 5th Advanced Air Mobility EXPO 2026”, on June 3-5, 2026, at Makuhari Messe, Tokyo.
We will be holding these discussions once a day on different topics, bringing together panelist from various companies and organizations. If you’re interested, please feel free to visit.

New Aircraft Regulations Start in the U.S. – What Is “MOSAIC”?

Summary:
 – In July, 2025, FAA announces “Modernization of Special Airworthiness Certification (MOSAIC)”, a revised regulation including substantial deregulation of LSA (Light Sports Aircraft).
– Under MOSAIC, the scope has expanded to include not only fixed-wing aircraft but also helicopters and powered lift aircraft (eVTOL, etc.).
– Compared to the traditional LSA system, what will change significantly with the implementation of MOSAIC?
– What are the benefits of introducing MOSAIC for existing and new businesses?

Standardization Activities Supporting BVLOS Flight

Summary:
 – In August 2025, FAA released the final draft of Part 108 and has already closed the public comment period. FAA is now in the final stages of preparing for the issuance of Part 108.
– ASTM is actively working on developing the various standard documents required for the approval of Part 108.
– In this discussion, specialists who are members of major standardization organizations in the aircraft industry will discuss the current status of discussions and challenges regarding the implementation of BVLOS flight through the perspective of each standardization organization.
