[Summary]
The procedures for type certification and specification approval of equipment are presented and examples of equipment subject to type certification and specification approval are given. In addition, for testing to obtain type certification and specification approval of equipment, it is recommended that tests such as RTCA DO-160 and DO-178 be applied in the “Additional Requirements for Type Certificate and Specification Approval”.
