Trends Regarding the Revision of ISO 9001
The revision work for ISO 9001 (Quality Management Systems – Requirements), which began in 2023, was published as a Draft International Standard (DIS) on August 27, 2025, and voting on the DIS by ISO members has started.
Voting closes on November 19, 2025. Responses to DIS comments are scheduled to be reviewed at the ISO/TC 176/SC 2/WG 29 meeting in Mexico, held from January 26 to January 30, 2026.
Although JIS Q 9100:2016 is supposed to be revised in line with the ISO 9001 update, no official information has been released at this time.

Transition Period: Approximately 3 years after release (until around 2029)
